Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Lycon Inc. ("we", "us") about
using Jeong, our Korean-learning app. We wrote them in simple English,
because many people using this app are reading in a second language.
By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Your account
- Every person using Jeong has an account. You can sign in with Apple or Google, or tap "Later" and we create a hidden account for you.
- A hidden account must be connected to Apple or Google (Profile ▸ Account) before you buy Choco. If you delete the app before connecting it, that account and everything in it is gone.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Jeong.
- Keep your sign-in method safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile ▸ Account ▸ Delete account.
Choco, and what is free
- You open an episode with Choco, our in-app credit. One episode costs 150 Choco, and playing an episode again later costs the same.
- You get 300 Choco when you create your account.
- When you finish every episode of a story, you get 300 Choco as a gift, one time for each story.
- Review and practice of what you have already learned are free, always. So are the chats of episodes you have finished.
- You buy Choco in packs through the App Store. The price of each pack is shown in the app before you buy.
- Choco does not expire. It stays in your account until you use it.
- Choco is kept in your account on our servers, so it follows you to a new device. It is not money: we cannot pay it out, and it cannot be moved to another account.
- An episode stays open once you open it, so leaving and coming back costs nothing until you finish it.
- The 3,000 Choco pack is offered at a launch price for the first 90 days after release. After that it goes to its regular price, which the app always shows before you buy.
- Apple handles payment and refunds. Refund requests go to Apple, under Apple's rules. If Apple refunds a Choco purchase, we remove the same amount of Choco from your account (we never take it below zero).
- Deleting your account deletes any Choco left in it. We cannot restore or refund it.
The characters are an AI
- The characters in Jeong are fictional. Their replies are written by an AI language model, not by a person.
- AI replies can be wrong, unnatural, or unexpected. Do not rely on them for anything important, such as medical, legal, or money decisions.
- Jeong is for learning Korean. It is not a substitute for a human teacher, and we do not promise any learning result or test score.
Using Jeong fairly
When you use Jeong, please do not:
- Use the chat to make content that is illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or meant to harm someone.
- Try to break, overload, or get around the app's limits or our servers.
- Copy, resell, or share the app's lessons, characters, voices, or images outside the app.
If you break these rules, we may limit or close your account.
Our content
The lessons, stories, characters, voices, and images in Jeong belong to
Lycon Inc. or our partners. We give you a personal, non-transferable right
to use them in the app for your own learning.
Some content is downloaded when you first open it and needs an internet connection.
Changes and availability
- We may change, add, or remove features and content as the app grows.
- We try to keep Jeong working, but it may sometimes be unavailable — for example, when our servers or our AI provider have problems.
- We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if a change is important.
Limits of responsibility
Jeong is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Lycon Inc. is not
responsible for indirect losses from using the app. Nothing in these terms
takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
Law
These terms follow the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where the
consumer laws of your country say otherwise.
Other documents
How we handle your information is in our
Privacy Policy. Purchases through the App Store also
follow Apple's
Standard End User License Agreement.
